The European Summer Academy on the Refurbishment of Historic Buildings is an intensive practical training programme. It is the second stage of the FuturHist Retrofit Academy training programme.
It will take place from 7–13 September this year in Kraków, Poland. Selected participants, chosen from among all those who took part in the first stage of the e-learning course, will travel to Tomaszowice, near Kraków, where they will spend a week working alongside our experts.
Target Group
This stage is designed for professionals engaged in the future-proofing of Europe’s heritage buildings.
Access
Participation is limited to the top 20 alumni of the FuturHist E-learning Course. The highest-performing and most actively engaged participants from Stage 1 will be invited to take part in this intensive, seven-day practical training.
To ensure a high-quality exchange of knowledge and experience, the selection process will also take into account the diversity of represented countries and institutions, as well as the professional motivation outlined in the registration form.
Programme Overview
This interactive, practice-oriented programme fosters the exchange of best practices among participants. Working on real case-study buildings, participants will develop refurbishment and retrofit concepts in dialogue with local stakeholders.
A novel multidimensional decision-making methodology, together with the initial version of a step-by-step decision support system (the FuturHist Toolkit), will be introduced and tested.
