On Sunday, September 13, the beautiful Dwór in Tomaszowice near Kraków hosted the official closing ceremony of our week-long Summer Academy, organized under the FuturHist Retrofit Academy program.
Throughout the week, our dedicated participants worked intensely in four groups, focusing on renovation concepts tailored around our main demo case at Kościuszki 18.
Sunday was their moment to shine as they presented the results of their hard work to an esteemed audience of invited guests, including renowned experts like Monika Bogdanowska from the Cracow Uniwersity of Technology and the Municipal Conservator of Monuments, Michał Szkoła. Each group presentation sparked a lively, insightful discussion around the proposed retrofit solutions and heritage conservation strategies.
The ceremony concluded with a warm summary of the training and the official presentation of certificates. Diplomas were proudly handed out to the participants by the FuturHist Project Coordinator, Daniel Herrera from Eurac Research, alongside the Training Programme Leader, Tomasz Jeleński, with the support of Agnieszka Czachowska from the Sendzimir Foundation.
